Thursday 6 pm
Pig Heart and Crasher were out this morning for 3 hours with both of the Pisten Bullies, we powertilled 41 k of trails this morning and it skied well. The new snow mixed in with the old and skiers were happy!

sorry for the delay, Crasher and pig heart took both Pisten Bullies out and groomed 51 k of trails. It was very good skiing on the groomed trails the trails groomed up well and skied well., we are suggesting the classic only for the flat sections, jack pine, jack flats.
the camp forest spring group was here on their annual trek and outing, they had a group of 19 young adults building quinsies and skiing. What a great team building experience. Check out the quinces on Popple flats and river trail.
2 Pisten Bullies out at 5 or 6 tommorow morning again.

Tuesday 6 pm
Feels like March but it is almost. We woke up to 29 degrees and pig heart groomed 20 k of trail with the bigger Pisten Bully and it tilled up nicely…a few pieces of bark and leaves included….more importantly it provided great spring skiing at 9 am and was not icy. Snow cross groomed to the south on the highlands and bards…he used light equipment and lightly groomed skate lanes only…these trails were better in the afternoon. Single tracks are and will be in ungroomed again tommorow so stick on the combi trails powertilled with the Pisten Bullies or do the classic only flat trails….Jack pine white pine, jacks flats.
Ridge runner is closed and puumala is closed tomorrow .
we plan to have both Pisten bullies out in the early morning and groom Tammarack 2 track and most of the combi trails

Monday 6 :30 pm

spring skiing today….40 degrees and sunny. Skiers enjoyed the conditions, pig heart groomed 15 k with the bigger Pisten Bully this morning on old ABR and snow cross groomed skate lanes with the 9 foot skate lane ginzu on 31 k of combi trails.
Tuesday looks like the temps drop….so trails will become firm and icy. Most skiers know that but I just wanted to make it clear. We plan to use 1 or both Pisten Bullies to renovate and regroom the main trails, and we plan to have a groomer out on the south trails scratching up skate lanes . Conclusion, we will have skiable terrain at 9 am, but I would NOT suggest Hemlock, sunset etc which are single tracks with hills, they will not be groomed in the morning and will be fast. Best to check with the ski cabin on the grooming reports.
Wednesday we will attack the trails with a full crew and open up more trails. The warm temps did not melt the base it softened the top 1 inch.
30% off sale continues in the ski shop.
