Tuesday 6;00 pm

we took care of about 35 km of skate lane grooming today with 2 passes and light equipment. The skiing was reported very good for skating and classic tracks were fast. We are getting light rain as of 4 pm and we are looking for it turn back to snow in the morning….skiing tommorow will most likely be best after 11 am.

mark your calendars for Taste of the Trails March 19th Saturday….details coming, 4 vendors confirmed to date.

Feb 13th, 6;00 pm

I had fun grooming with wully bully this morning. We hit all the skate lanes except Ridge Runner and Peltonen. The skate lanes groomed up well. The track set by the Pisten Bully 3 days ago was still firm and well formed but a bit glazed. The classic tracks on the single tracks was hit and miss and was more glazed, borderline icy. The shaded trails are better than the sunny trails for glazing. Classic tracks became more skiable about 11 am skating was great until about 2 pm and it started to slow way down.

2 of us plan to groom with light equipment in the morning and I expect the same ski conditions for Tuesday. Tuesday night looks like rain and changing to snow Wednesday morning….grooming will be interesting. I will keep the reports updated but I do not see any major issues other than Wednesday morning skiing may be tricky until we get the grooming going…timing and temperature is everything.

Sunday 6 ;30 pm

What a super Sunday! We woke up to a beautiful sunrise while grooming and just witnessed a beautiful sunset. We had a full groom crew out this morning and we groomed all the single track except Puumala, it turned out quite nice. The single track groomers let me in their train today so I got to witness the pretty and intimate single tracks…Crasher took car of skate lanes and the trails groomed up well. We closed the Ridge Runner Trail on Windy Ridge until the freeze thaw ends this week. Groomers are back out in the morning….

We had a great day of skiing with the Nordic Event Project Connect today. It was well attended and fun to see skiers ski all the trail systems connected.

The trails skied well today. We had 4 of us out grooming this morning and the trails groomed up very well. A grooming squad of 4 again tommorow.

Friday night 6:15 pm

First off …’Grooming and Skiing Conditions”

we groomed Tammarack and Ridge Runner first off with the Pisten Bully and then did touch up grooming as needed. The single tracks like jacks flats were groomed and a few other flat loops for skiers wanting flat trails. Ski conditions were reported to be excellent. Ridge Runner was reported to be the best of the season!

Second “grooming plans”

we plan to have 4 groomers out Saturday early morning grooming all the trails except Ridge Runner and Tammarack,
