Wednesday 6 pm

I had a great morning grooming with Wide Track this morning for a short 3 hr shift setting new tracks and buffing out some skate lanes. I was doing the roughing with an 84 ginzu, wide track had a 60 ginzu with double weights setting track. We took care of all the south classics this morning, they are looking ‘mint’.

Crasher is in early am to take care of grooming skate lanes, we are expecting an inch of snow or less tonight.

Tuesday 6:30 PM

Wully Bully and Pig Heart groomed the North end classic only Trails . @ passes and we had the trails back to normal configuration after the SISU. Pig Heart went ahead and removed signage and closed gates from the SISU event Saturday. Crasher lightly groomed all the combo trails on the skate lanes and left some very nice cordoroy.

Wide Track is coming in early AM to groom with Pig Heart on the classic trails to the south.. We will check and see if skate lanes need a buffing when we are out.

Monday 6 pm

Groomers slept in this morning…the trails are in great shape. I groomed about 3-4 km this morning at the dog trails with the bigger PB. The dog trails sure do not get much use. It is a great trails system with varying terrain. 1 road crossing.

3 groomers heading out in the morning, mainly touch up on skate lanes and 2 of us are heading north to regroom jack pine white pine and close gates from the SISU.

temps and snow is as good as it gets.

Sunday 9 AM

we just finished grooming with both Pisten Bullies. We have the trails back to the normal configuration.

SISU Saturday 6 pm

what a great day of grooming and racing and volunteering today! We had 4 of us out setting the last 12 km of the course early morning , grooming and filling in road crossings. Coleman Engineering team was on the support side with road crossing barriers and sign placement.

the course was firm and pole placements were pretty solid, a few missed pole plants where we went went wide and a couple twigs hanging…but overall a great course.

I hung out at the Kinnunen Road Aid station with my friends and neighbors from Erwin Township. I had the rescue sled and snowmobile. Thankfully it did not get used. Both Pisten Bullies will be back out early morning to get the trails groomed up as normal. Ridge runner will go back to skate

A big thank you to all the SISU volunteers and racers today!
