Monday night 6 pm

what a great morning of grooming and what a great day of happy skiers.

pig heart and snow cross groomed all the skating and trimmed and shoveled any dirt spots that the Pisten bullies agitated. Tracks looked solid and used but not icy, skate lanes are wide and flat. Wide track and partner tracked hemlock jack pine white pine and froze down the puumala trails. Ken shoveled in wet and thin areas on the ridge, which is open.

then we all headed into the SISU trail packing and freezing the trail. It has great coverage.

3 groomers out again in the early morning working on grooming

Sunday 6 pm

We opened the bull pen and sent both Pisten Bullies out early morning. Crasher took care of the North end and Pig Heart took care of the South end, grooming all of the Highlands . Wide Track and Partner double teamed Tamarack 1 track to a 2 track …and groomed up windy ridge. Ken shoveled in many of the low spots on the ridge and will be back out tommorow.
wide track and partner will be packing more on puumala tomorrow, historic trail and Woodward to the SISU Finnish line. Pig heart and snow cross are touching up skate lanes and joining up with the wide track team.

skiing was great this weekend, we are skiing on 88 km of trail, 65 km are mint, we hope to have all 101 km groomed up for the weekend…..55 inches of snowfall to date!

check out the Saturday box lunch program starting next Saturday with some of our favorite restaurants….details coming soon or on Facebook.

Saturday 6 pm

We groomed up about 85 km of trails today, 60 km are skiing quite well. 11 ski teams here today so the trails were well used. Full groom team in the early tomorrow, we plan to put both Pisten bullies out on the combination trails and 2 snowmobiles on the classics. The conditions are “mint”… if you are young, that means they are very good!

Friday 10 am

the trails groomed up well this morning and are looking like mid winter. The recreational skiers are loving the new snow and grooming. Looks like more snow coming tonight, a full groom team will be out in the early morning.

Thursday 4;30 pm

4 groomers were out for a long shift again today getting the new snow firmed up and opening the Highlands. The classic only trails to the south are not ready yet, they need to freeze down, but the Highlands combination trails are skiing well with good skis. The Pisten Bully will be out again Friday or Saturday as needed.

Picture of a beautiful sunrise on one of the out looks of Windy Ridge. Windy Ridge is not open yet but is very close, maybe this weekend.
