Friday 5:30 pm

we had a great day of skiing, the new dusting groomed up well this morning. We regroomed most of the skating and reset classic tracks on about 35 km. All trails are open except Puumala. Skiers were very pleased with the snow and trails. Classic tracks received a very good grade. Hilltop and Hendrickson trailside houses are open next weekend, along with a few rustic ski in cabins

. Skiers if you have a picture from today or the day you ski text it to me 906-364-3502. Snow on the trees and smiling faces with the trail in the background gets an A+ grade, I enjoy posting these pictures on the website.

THURSDAY 6;30 pm

WE were so happy to wake up and groom 6 -8 inches of dense snow. Our groomer crew showed up and groomed most of the the trail system…(they even packed Puumala Trails to freeze for next week.) WE have about 55 km tracked and 40 km groomed for skating as of tonight. I think that will change to 72 k tracked and 48 k groomed for skating in the AM at 9.

Wednesday 6 pm

what a great day! We woke up to 3 inches of snow, we were able to groom and set classic tracks on 50 k or more of trail. Then at 10 am a blizzard hit and the 5 groomers groomed until noon and called it quits. Good news is we have great snow now and will be moving up from early season conditions. We expect to have 55 km groomed tomorrow by 10 am and 75 km groomed by noon, we will continue to continue to open more trails, like Puumala trails and Historic Trails after that. Of course we are setting tracks now.

Wednesday 9:00 am

groomer crew coming in for coffee break. 25 km of skate lanes groomed so far and 2 km of CLASSIC TRACKS! The new snow overnight was a big help. We are heading out to groom another 40-50 km shortly.
