Nice cool temps

Just coming in from grooming. Rick and I groomed about 25 km tonight and it was turning out real nice for spring skiing. A few thin areas , but the wet areas froze for now and grooming up well. We will be back out in teh early AM to complete the grooming to have 50 km groomed up at 9 AM

No Spring Race

I am just coming in from checking the 20 km Spring Race Course and there are too many areas of thin snow and flooding 3 days before the race; the melting from today with 60 F temps and sun was too much for the course. The ABR Spring Race and kids races are cancelled for Sunday. We will have some of the trails open Friday Saturday and Sunday for day skiing. We are planning on closing Sunday at 5 PM for the season.

Clydesdales night tonight

We had a good team of 10 of us tonight, skiing was quite good even at 5 PM. The trails groomed up well this morning and the snow is holding up for the SUNDAY Spring Race. Pictures by Linda Slining. Those pictured all contribute to keeping ABR running with their generous volunteer hours from grooming trails to repairing groomer transmissions to cutting wood to skidding logs to printing the brochure.

Spring skiing

The snow is holding up fine. We had warm temps today and the snow is transformed to corn snow. That means spring skiing conditions. We groomed about 15 k today and will be out grooming about the same for the AM . The trails not groomed in the morning are skiing well in the afternoon.
