You’re Invited – Cheers to 30 Years: Let’s Celebrate

Please Click the Link to RSVP

On Saturday, March 15th at 3:00 PM, we’re celebrating 30 years of Eric Anderson and Angela Santini running ABR!

Join us for an afternoon of food and fun as we commemorate this milestone. We’ll be grilling up brats and burgers, enjoying a beer by the bonfire, sharing memories, and having some friendly competition with a few games.

Note: The games will begin earlier in the day, stay tuned to social media for additional game details but rumor has it that the famous “wife carry competition” the biathlon (without bullets) and the sprint races are being scheduled!

Please RSVP so we can ensure there’s plenty of food and drinks for everyone. Plus, by RSVPing, you’ll be automatically entered to win one of our exciting door prizes!

Eric and Angela can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Sunday 6 pm

what a great weekend of skiing, snow globe Saturday conditions with 83 km groomed and sunny and 24 degrees today with the new snow groomed on 92 km of trails. Both Pisten Bullies were out grooming this morning along with 3 smaller groomers. The trails are in mint condition and classic tracks are as good as it gets. Skiers were very happy with conditions.

tomorrow wully bully and pig heart are headed out for touch up grooming in the morning, we are not resetting the classics, they are skiing very well.

waiting for trail pics from skiers today…

Saturday 6 pm

we received another 2 inches of snow last night and another 3 inches during the day after grooming! We had a groomer crew out early morning today enjoying grooming 80 k of trails. I had the pleasure of grooming in the larger Pisten Bully with a groomer from Madison, great conversation and company.

Many happy skiers today and skiers were quite pleased with conditions and the new snow falling “snow globe” as it was called. Rigonis Bakery came through with delivering 66 pasties at noon for Lunchbox Saturday. Suffolk Street Eatery is on schedule next Saturday.

Sunday morning we have a groomer crew of 4 and we are working on grooming all the trails again.

Friday 6 :15 pm

it is so nice to see the happy skiers! We have been blessed with good snow, as my friend, Jim would say.

trails groomed up well today we are skiing on all 92 km of trails and trails are skiing great!….these are the trail reports that I enjoy writing, great snow , everything groomed, good skis, recreational skiers enjoying the trails, snow hanging on the trees. Ridge runner is classic tommorow…check out the new design by Ken.

I have had such a great time grooming this year with the team. As you remember last year I was in a recliner much of the winter recovering from my last open heart surgery. Being back in the seat is certainly my happy place.

Next year the ABR Trails nonprofit Foundation will be running the operations as Angela and I are retiring. But happily, they have asked me to fill the position of Chief Groomer. The team is joining me next ski season, so nothing will change with grooming.

thursday 6 pm

Pisten Bully grooming with 6 inches (of snow) is as good as sex. Hopefully I don’t offend anyone, especially my wife Angela. We had 3 of us out there today prepping the trails, I was in the bigger bully grooming all of old ABR, the other team members groomed the Highlands, Ridge runner (with no tracks just groomed flat), then they groomed and tracked most of the famous single track trails, we have a full team back in the early morning to groom and set tracks.

I want to take a few minutes to tell you about the nonprofit Foundation Angela and I established in 2019. It is called the Anderson Bluffs & River Trails Foundation (501-c-3) or ABR Trails Foundation for short. I am on the Board of Directors as a founder. This team is a diverse and extremely talented group of volunteers that take their role very seriously. The team of over 50 volunteers and numerous specialized committees have been very busy the last three years preparing for Angela and I to retire and turn over the reins in 68 days. I try to catch many of you to tell you about the ABR Trails Foundation when you ski, but I miss some of you. Please go the Foundation website to learn more (click on top right corner).
